Technical Specifications
Our SanSiro Jetted and Empress Hydrotherapy tubs have two strong shells. The inner shell is first formed in acrylic and is re-inforced with fiberglass and resins, steel and wood to make it really strong and rigid. The outer shell is produced in the same process but has no steel reinforcing. The pump, water lines and all the fittings are housed and hidden in between the shells. The pump is solid mounted to its' own support bracket and when the screws underneath the rim of the tub are removed and the inner shell is lifted out, all the working tub parts are connected to the inner shell. There is no need to build in any access panels. Special Drainage Feature. Certain aspects on our tubs are designed in such a way as to absolutely minimise moisture retention in the pipes. Special Safety Feature. Our suction fitting is designed to stop the motor functioning, if for any reason the suction area becomes blocked. Our highly polished acrylic surfaces are 1/8" thick and designed to be repairable in the unlikely event of scratches occurring over the years. All of our tubs meet or exceed ASME A112.19.7M and are UL Listed. |
Already attached (and tested) to your faucet of choice when you purchase our tub package, will be the stainless steel braided hot and cold water supply lines. These can be supplied long or short in length depending on where your existing hot & cold water connections are.
HOT & COLD WATER CONNECTIONS
Unlike most other clawfoot tubs, SanSiro and Empress tubs are supplied with an integral darin and overflow that is hidden in between the shells. The cover on the overflow turns to operate the drain stopper. Both of these oarts will color match your faucet. As part of the tub package, we also supply a drain connection piece from the tub to the floor drain, plus a matching decorative cover to hide the joint. If you have an exisitng floor drain and don't want to go to the expense of moving it, you can come off the tub drain with a 90 degree elbow and run a drain pipe hidden underneath the tub to your floor drain location. |
